Rope Chef

Rope Chef

How to Play

Rope Chef is a cute physics puzzle in which every level is a recipe waiting to be cooked. Ingredients dangle on ropes above a pot, and you need to cut those ropes at just the right moments so each item swings, bounces or floats down into the pot. The catch is that the recipe card at the top lists the ingredients in a particular order, and they must arrive in exactly that sequence for the dish to succeed. Get it wrong and the little bun-shaped chef, Nibbs, faints in dramatic despair. Fifty short levels tour fourteen cuisines from around the world, and each one introduces a new twist, such as bounce pads, bubbles that carry food upward, fans, a moving pot, a hot pan and portals. It is clever, charming and perfect for short bursts of puzzling.

Controls

Click or drag across a rope with the mouse to cut it, and click a bubble to pop it. On touch screens, swipe across a rope to cut it and tap bubbles to pop them. Send the ingredients into the pot in the order shown on the recipe card.

Tips

  1. Read the recipe card before cutting anything.
  2. Wait for a swinging ingredient to line up with the pot before releasing it.
  3. Use bubbles to delay an ingredient that must arrive later.
