How to Play

Sidefire is a tactical team shooter played from a side-on view. Two teams of five clash in fast deathmatches against computer-controlled opponents on a multi-level factory map packed with catwalks, containers and scaffolding. The first team to reach forty eliminations wins, or the team in front when the five-minute timer runs out. Moving between levels of the map, finding good angles and using cover are just as important as accurate aim. Nine weapons are available, and each can be tuned with optics, muzzle attachments, underbarrel gear and different magazines. Grenades help flush enemies out of tight spots, and careful aim is always rewarded. Levelling up unlocks new guns and attachments, while cases, daily rewards and three bot difficulty settings keep each session fresh.

Controls

Move with A and D, jump with W or Space and crouch with S. Aim with the mouse, fire with left click and aim down sights with right click. R reloads, 1, 2 or Q switches weapons, G throws a grenade and E picks up a weapon. Tab shows the scoreboard and Esc pauses.

Tips

1. Fight from higher catwalks to get a better angle on enemies below.
2. Reload behind containers rather than in open corridors.
3. Start against easy bots to learn the map before trying hard ones.
