How to Play

Football Pinball mixes a classic pinball table with a game of football, viewed from behind your own goal. All you have to work with are two flippers. The ball rolls down toward you, and if it slips between them it ends up in your net, giving a goal to the other side. Your job is to send it back up the board, beyond a line of three midfielders and a goalkeeper who slides along his line to follow the ball, and send it into the goal at the far end. Each match lasts ninety seconds, the side with more goals wins, and an equal score ends in a draw. Careful timing on the flippers helps you steer shots around the defenders rather than straight into them, which is the key to scoring regularly. It is quick, simple and surprisingly tense from kickoff to the final whistle.

Controls

Use the Left Arrow, A or Z for the left flipper and the Right Arrow or D for the right one. Space works both flippers. On a phone or tablet, tap the left half of the screen for the left flipper and the right half for the right one.

Tips

1. Wait until the ball is close before flipping rather than swinging early.
2. Aim for the gaps beside the keeper, who follows the ball along his line.
3. Use both flippers together only when the ball drops straight down the middle.
